William Michael (Bill) Hollin

William Michael (Bill) Hollin, 78, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026.

Known as "Butch" to his family, Bill will be remembered as a gifted musician, a proud veteran, and a devoted father and grandfather.

In 1967, Bill married Tiny Seaton and, just three days later, was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, Bill and Tiny welcomed their daughter, Amanda, who remained the greatest joy of his life.

Bill was exceptionally intelligent, with a quick wit and a quiet, thoughtful nature. He had a lifelong passion for music and was an accomplished guitarist and violinist. He never sought attention and was more inclined to listen than to speak, but when he did, his words were measured, genuine, and often accompanied by a perfectly timed sense of humor.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Braswell (Cervinia); his brother, Richard Hollin (Donna); and his cherished granddaughters, Hollin Braswell and Allie Jamison Braswell. He is also remembered by many other relatives and friends whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Carl Hollin and Dorothy Lois Bridges Hollin.

Bill will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country, his gift for music, and the quiet strength and humor that defined his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
