Virginia Ann Chandler Covington, a kind and loving woman, passed away on June 16, 2026, in Nashville, TN. She was born on September 4, 1961, in Brownsville, TN, the place where her life journey began and where she later built a family and career. A memorial gathering to celebrate Virginia’s life will be held on June 19, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, located at 1280 S Dupree Ave, Brownsville, TN 38012.

Virginia worked as a clerk in retail, a role in which she brought her warmth and dedication to those around her. She was known not only for her work but also for the joyful activities she treasured in her life. She enjoyed cooking, crafting, and gardening, passions that allowed her to express her creativity and nurture her loved ones.

Virginia's family was a central part of her life. She is survived by her husband: Steve Covington of Brownsville, TN; her daughter: Adaiha Covington of Oklahoma City, OK; her sons: Jeremy Covington of Brownsville, TN; Nathan Covington and his wife Katie of Jacksonville, NC; Jedidiah Covington and his wife Sarah of Covington, TN; and Zachariah Covington and his wife Mallory of Oklahoma City, OK. Virginia was a proud grandmother to Emmalin Covington, Declan Covington, Raiden Covington, River Covington, Noah Borkowski, and Jameson Borkowski, whose lives she deeply touched. She is also survived by her brothers: Ronald Chandler and Andy Chandler. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents: Bobby and Olive Hinsley Chandler.

Virginia Ann Chandler Covington will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, love, and the simple pleasures she shared with her family and community. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
