Vera Evelyn Davis

Mrs. Vera Evelyn Hayes Davis, age 93, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at her home in Brownsville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, 2 PM-3 PM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Albert James Davis, her parents: Buster and Mary Moore Hayes, two brothers: Lloyd Hayes, Herbert Hayes and a sister, Revie Hayes Watson. She is survived by two nephews: James Hayes (Jo Ann), Donny Watson, Sr. (Linda), three great nephews: Steve Hayes, Calvin Watson, Donny Watson, Jr. nine great nieces: Rebecca Bond (Ed), Connie Hendrix (Johnny), Misty Casteele (Paul), Donna Marbury (Tommy), Barbara Jones (Randy), Renee Carmax (Bobby), Felicia Wright, Cindy Hamilton and Kim Hayes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 315 Mt. Pleasant Road, Whiteville, TN 38075.
