Timothy Dewayne Potter

Timothy Dewayne Potter, age 34, was born on December 12, 1991, in Jackson, TN. He passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. His passing has left a profound sense of loss among the family and friends who loved him.  Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Martin officiating.  Burial will follow at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanton, TN. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Those who knew Timothy remember him as a devoted father, he loved his children above all else.  His greatest joy came from spending time surrounded by family and friends.  Although he was a hard worker, he found time to enjoy hunting, fishing and working on cars. 

He is survived by his mother, Belinda Elrod Potter of Brownsville, TN; father, Randall Potter, of Brownsville, TN; son, Thomas Dewayne Potter, of Millington, TN; daughter, Zannalee Ann Potter of Brownsville, TN; brother, Caleb Potter (Mia), and niece, Reese Claire Potter, of Brownsville, TN; along with his grandmother, Kathryn Baker (Randy), of Henderson, TN and grandfather, Ralph Potter of Toone, TN.  Each of them carries forward memories of Timothy’s kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to those he loved.

Pallbearers for the service will be Caleb Potter, Jason Phillips, Marcus Witherspoon, Jordan Currie, Christopher Cutting and Jacob King.

Though his time with us was far too brief, Timothy’s steadfast love for his children and family will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His devotion, warmth, and the joy he brought to others will be remembered always.  The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.  All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
