Timothy Earl Lipford, affectionately known to many as Tim, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee. Born on January 1, 1967, in Selmer, Tennessee, Tim’s life was a testament to hard work, family devotion, and a warm heart that touched all who knew him.
Mr. Tim was a master craftsman, a carpenter by trade who spent his entire career building the foundations of communities. He had an extraordinary talent for construction, a skill he honed alongside his Dad and brothers, capable of building a house from the ground up with remarkable precision and care. Not only was he a skilled carpenter, but he also applied his expertise as a roofer, meticulously ensuring every project he touched stood strong and proud.
Beyond his remarkable work ethic and craftsmanship, Tim was a man whose greatest joy was found in the warmth of family. He cherished his nieces and nephews, delighting in their laughter and playfulness. Known for his loving spirit, Tim never missed a chance to pick and play with the children, sharing fun memories that filled the home with happiness. Those moments, filled with laughter and joy, were a testament to his boundless affection for the family he holds dear.
Tim also enjoyed simple pleasures that reflected his easy-going nature—a fondness for classic old westerns and the comfort of a cold drink after a day’s hard work brought him genuine contentment. He also enjoyed the music of Chris Stapleton and Percy Sledge. These small joys shaped the tapestry of his life, painting a picture of a man who loved deeply and lived authentically.
He is survived by his devoted brother, Raymond Allen Lipford; and his sisters Sharon Ann Cowan, Louna Gail Vowell (Steve), Vickey Elaine Horton, Teresa Renea Pool (Thomas), Mary Evelyn Chambers (Marty), and Pamela Diane Kail (Doug). Tim leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and joy.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lee Lipford; mother, Elizabeth Ann Robertson Lipford; and brother, Tommy Lee Lipford. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the countless ways Tim enriched the lives around him.
To know Timothy Earl Lipford was to know a man of immense skill, unwavering family devotion, and a heart that welcomed everyone into its embrace. He built more than houses—he built lasting bonds and beautiful memories that will endure for generations. Though he is no longer with us, Tim’s spirit remains, a guiding presence reminding us of the beauty in craftsmanship, family, and love.
The family will be honoring Tim's wishes for a private family memorial at a later date.
