Susan found great fulfillment in her career, managing a commercial salon supply store for many years. Her love for her work was evident to all who knew her, as she approached each day with dedication and enthusiasm. Beyond her professional life, she was a passionate collector, particularly of shoes, amassing a remarkably unique and beloved collection that reflected her eye for beauty and detail. An avid reader, Susan was drawn especially to thrilling novels, which offered her an escape into captivating worlds that mirrored her own lively imagination.

At the heart of Susan’s life was her generous and loving nature. She was a giver in every sense—always ready to share a kind word, a thoughtful gift, or a helping hand. Her closet was famously filled to the brim with presents for those she cared about, a testament to her deep affection and thoughtfulness. Becoming a grandmother was a cherished milestone for Susan, regarded as her proudest accomplishment. She adored her grandchildren—Lily, Harper, and Alivia—and took immense joy in nurturing and celebrating them.

Her son, Scott Alexander Montgomery, and his wife Paige, along with her daughter, Haley Montgomery, and her fiancé Geoffrey Fuentes. Susan’s brother, Jamie Robbins and her two sisters, Ginger Brandhorst, and Shannon Rowley, also carry forward her memory. Among her dearest friends was Suzanne Chase, who stood by Susan through life’s joys and challenges.

Though Susan’s loving husband of nine years, Terry Stanfield, has passed before her, the bond they shared remains an enduring part of her story and the hearts of her loved ones.
