Steve Randle Stoots

Steve Randle Stoots, age 73, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at his residence in Brownsville, TN. A Memorial Visitation for Mr. Stoots will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN. Steve was born on April 3, 1948 in Bells, TN to William Steve Stoots and Mary Janette Briley Stoots. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a carpenter and was one who enjoyed life and his friends. He enjoyed hanging out at Jimmy’s and he also loved to fish, as well as tell stories and jokes. He enjoyed sports and especially enjoyed Raiders football in the NFL. He is survived by two sons, Glenn Stoots of Brownsville, TN and Scott Stoots of Montgomery, TX; two sisters, Mildred Duram of San Jacinto, CA and Mary Fisher of Sylmar, CA; five grandchildren, Ariel Jamenez, Nathan Scott Stoots, Christopher Matthew Stoots, Cooper Stoots, and Boomer Stoots. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Steve Stoots and Mary Janette Stoots and one sister, Kathy Ann Banks. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Sharolett Allen, c/o InSouth Bank, P.O. Box 879, Brownsville, TN 38012. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
