Steve D. Rowland, age 79, born on September 14, 1946, in Memphis, TN, left this world peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Senatobia Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Senatobia, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Kendrick officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, at the Brownsville Funeral Home.
Throughout his life, Steve owned and operated numerous businesses, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his work. He was a beloved husband to Judy K. Rowland, with whom he shared 46 wonderful years. Together, they built a family that he cherished deeply.
In addition to his wife, Judy Kendrick Rowland, Steve is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Dushaj of Clawson, MI, and Aimee Rowland of Muse, PA and his sister Carolyn Rhodes of Huntley, IL. The joy of his life was amplified by his five grandchildren, Justin Bauer, Rachel Bauer, Gabriele Dushaj, Gavin Dushaj, and Brewer Rowland (Alisha), who brought light to his days. Additionally, he had the pleasure of watching his family grow further with seven great-grandchildren: Khloe Webster, Owen Shayna, Oliver Smith, Olivia Smith, Ainsley Rowland, Bentley Mendoza, and Taelynn Emery. He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Nellie Mae Foster Rowland, and his son, Gregory Rowland.
Steve was known for his vibrant personality, full of humor and joy. He loved to entertain others, particularly children, with his enchanting magic tricks, and he never missed an opportunity to tell a joke that would leave those around him in fits of laughter. His passion for the outdoors manifested in his love for fishing and deer hunting, hobbies that provided him peace and enjoyment.
Pallbearers for the service will be Brewer Roland, Bentley Mendoza, Randy Kendrick, Kelly Kendrick, Kenny Kendrick and Mark Kendrick.
Steve D. Rowland's legacy will live on through the memories shared by his family and friends. His laughter, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
