Stephen Donahue

Stephen Deshunta Donahue, age 50, departed this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, following a brief illness. The family has honored his wishes for cremation and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Lot & Loft, 6009 US-70, Brownsville, TN 38012, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

Stephen was born on May 8, 1976 to Stephen Jerome Donahue and Dianne Reed Chatman in Memphis, TN. Stephen lived life to the fullest, enjoying music and traveling in his free time. He was a big sports fan, he especially enjoyed watching and cheering on the Chicago Bears and the Memphis Tigers. Most of all, Stephen was a family man, he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend.

He is survived by his wife of over twelve years: Mary Nell Cain Donahue of Brownsville, TN; mother: Diane Reed Chatman (Marvin) of Memphis, TN; father: Stephen Jerome Donahue (Carolyn) of Memphis, TN; son: Stephen Michael Donahue (McKenzie) of Memphis, TN; step-son: Malcolm Antoine Smith, II (Alnisha) of Las Vegas, NV; daughter: Kayla Diane Donahue (Matthew) of Memphis, TN; step-daughter: Janell Simone Michel (Nathaniel) of Memphis, TN; siblings: Brandon Chatman (Aarynn), Candace Sims (Rayvon), Marvin Chatman, Jr. (Archelaus) Bryan Donahue (Delandrea), Brandon Donahue-Shipp (Jessica); eight grandchildren: Marley, Noah, Nelijah, Mackira, Journey, Marcus, Osiris, Nova Reign and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
