Sheila Elise Kendall

Sheila Elise Pugh Kendall, age 67, returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. A Celebration Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Emmanual Christian Fellowship in Friendship, Tn.

Mrs. Sheila was born in Memphis, Tn on August 30, 1956, to the late Claude Pugh and Alyce Townzen Pugh. She was a lifelong member of the Emmanuel Christian Fellowship Church of Friendship, TN. She graduated from Dyersburg High School, and then studied Business Data Processing at Dyersburg State Community College. Afterwards, she studied accounting at the Western Governors University receiving her Associates Degree and worked as the Senior Tax Advisor for H&R Block for over 30 years. Her passion was teaching, as she homeschooled countless children. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister: Patricia Adcock.

She is survived by her husband of over 50 years: Odis Ray Kendall of Gadsden, TN; one son: David Kendall (Stephanie) of Lexington, TN; one daughter: Candida Kendall Lewis (Jason) of Friendship, TN; two sisters: Lynda Willoughby of CA, Virginia Teddy of CA; She leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren: Justin Lewis, Emily Lewis, Austin Lewis, Kristin Lewis, Hannah Kendall Daniell (Collin), Josiah Kendall and Nathaniel Kendall; three great-grandchildren: Juliet, Evangeline and Luella and numerous extended family and friends.
