Ronnie Joe Blaylock, age 71, a devoted family man and respected member of the community, passed away on July 3, 2025, at the age of 71 in Brownsville, TN. Born on December 15, 1953, in Crockett County, Ronnie lived a life defined by hard work and dedication, both in his personal and professional endeavors. There will be a private, family only, service.
Ronnie served as a Sales Associate at Bells Hardware & Lumber Co. in Bells, TN, where he gained the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike. His work ethic was a testament to his commitment to providing for his family and supporting his community.
Ronnie's passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid golfer, a dedicated hunter, and a lover of nature. These hobbies were a source of joy for him, allowing him to connect with the beauty of the outdoors and enjoy time spent with friends and family.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Blaylock (Rita) of Humboldt, TN; his partner of over 20 years, Beth Ann Smith, and her children, Sara Beth Crutchfield (Josh) and Nick Smith (Cassandra), all of Brownsville, TN. Ronnie also cherished his role as a grandfather to Emily Louise Crutchfield and Benjamin Smith Crutchfield. His brothers, Steve Blaylock (Nan) of Barton, MS, and Richard Blaylock of Southaven, MS, will also remember him fondly.
Pallbearers for the service will be Roger Crossnoe, Josh Crutchfield, Ryan Buckingham, Bate Bond, Nick Smith, John Pigue and Wesley Blaylock.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Lester Joe Blaylock, Jr.; his mother, Rosella Aspray; and his brother, Danny Blaylock. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Ronnie will be deeply missed, and his legacy of hard work, love for family, and respect for nature will forever be celebrated. The family requests that memorials be made to the Brownsville Humane Society, c/o Alice Nunn, P.O. Box 565, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
