Patricia Ann Smith, lovingly known as Pat, passed away on September 27, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born on October 11, 1950, in Bells, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by devotion, creativity, faithful service, and enduring love for those around her.
Pat built a life of steady work and meaningful accomplishment. She began her career as Secretary for the City of Humboldt, where she served for more than fifteen years. Later, she worked for Medina Service and Supply and went on to retire as property manager for the Cherrywood Place Apartments in Medina. Along the way, she also shared in business ownership with her husband, Mr. Daniel, as co-owner of West Tennessee Coffee Service, later known as TriState Coffee. Her professional life reflected dedication, reliability, and a willingness to serve others in every role she held.
She was a high school graduate and continued her studies at business school in Jackson, Tennessee, preparing herself for a life of capable and conscientious work. Those who knew Pat also knew the many gifts she carried beyond her career. She was a faithful member of Meridian Baptist Church of Jackson, where her faith was an abiding part of her life. She was an avid reader who found joy in books, and she loved to paint, expressing the artistic talent that so naturally belonged to her. Pat was known for being talented and creative, and she delighted in collecting Snoopy and all of the Peanuts characters, a reflection of the warmth and whimsy she carried with her.
Her family ties were a cherished part of her life. She is survived by her brother, Max Hart; her nephew, Jason Hart; and Grayson Hart. She also leaves behind many beloved friends whose companionship and affection enriched her life and whose memories of her will remain a lasting comfort.
She was preceded in death by her father, Max Hart Sr.; her mother, Lucille Dotson Hart; her husband, Daniel Ervwin Smith, with whom she shared more than 57 years of marriage; and her niece, Stephanie Hart.
Patricia Ann Smith will be remembered for her faithful heart, her artistic spirit, her years of hard work, and the love she gave so generously to family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched and in the quiet, lasting impressions of a life well lived.
