Mary had a varied career, working in insurance and later as the secretary for Viper Termite / Pest Control. She took pride in her work. Mary had a passion for singing and writing music, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends that she loved dearly. She touched the lives of all who knew her and will be remembered fondly for her kindness and love.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 37 years, Edward Stephens; their daughter, Michelle Klophaus (Tony) of Trenton, TN, their son, Lee Morris of Brownsville, TN; and her brother, Danny Moore of Myrtle Beach, SC. She also leaves four grandchildren: Chris Conatser, Cody Lee Morris, Mason Kirby Morris, and Emily Taylor Morris, along with three great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Ruth Ware Moore, her brother Leonard Moore, and her grandchild Johnny Weintraub.
Her legacy of love and connection will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. The family requests that memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244 for the fight against breast cancer. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
