Mary Rachel Pitts

Mary Rachel Pitts, age 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home in Humboldt, TN.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Pastor Selth Wilkerson officiating.  Burial to follow in the Rosehill Cemetery of Humboldt, TN.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Bells Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

Mrs. Rachel was born on February 5, 1943, to the late Andy Williams and Ailene Plaxoco Williams.  She was a devoted mother and homemaker.  She loved her family and loved fishing!  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.  She was also preceded in death by two sons:  Lee Wayne Butler and William Frank Butler; one daughter:  Janice Pitts; one brother:  Pee Wee Williams; three sisters:  Janie Turner, Mildred Chandler, Frances Butler; and her best friend:  Ms. May.

She is survived by two sons:  Buddy Ross Adams (Cynthia) of Jackson, TN, Dennis Sherdian Butler of Humboldt, TN (Cynthia Marie Butler of Milan, TN); one daughter:   Rhonda Jean Milstead of Humboldt, TN; two sisters:  Betty Sue Milstead of Humboldt, TN, and Worda Lovett of Indiana; She leaves a legacy of 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
