Mary Patsy Lonon

Mary Patsy Lonon, age 87, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at her home. Memorial Services will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 1:30 PM with Rev. Sammy Tillman and Rev. Ray Chandler officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, beginning at 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 1:30 PM at the First United Methodist Church.

Mary Patsy Dickinson Lonon was born on July 6, 1936, in Haywood County to her parents, William Daniel Dickinson and Lyde Kate Williams Dickinson. She was a lifelong resident of this community and was one who was well loved and respected. She was a homemaker and took lots of pride in taking care of her home and her family. She enjoyed sweeping the leaves off her porch and was one who had a great love for the agriculture community. It was her wishes to donate her body to science at the University of Tennessee, Memphis – The Health Science Center College of Medicine. She will be remembered as a perfectionist and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kindness and love touched many lives. Her spirit will live on through all the wonderful memories made over the years.

She is survived by her sons, Travis G. Lonon, Jr (Brenda) of Brownsville, TN, Chuck W. Lonon (Nedra) of Brownville, TN, Billy Lonon of Jackson, TN; her grandchildren, Trey Lonon (Caley), Ware Lonon (Caitlin), Allix Lonon, Bond Lonon (Adron), and Walt Lonon, great-grandchildren, Presley Lonon, Gradey Lonon, Gage Lonon, Charlee Lonon, and Josie Lonon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Glenn Lonon, Sr.; her parents, William Daniel Dickinson and Lyde Kate Williams Dickinson, and one granddaughter, Emily Lonon. 

The family has requested memorials be made to Emily Paige Lonon Heart of Hope Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 117 E. Franklin St, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
