Mary Jo Hollingshead Frady

Mary Jo Hollingshead Frady passed away on Oct 13, 2019, in the Lake Forest Village in Denton, Texas.

She was born Dec 5, 1932 in Memphis, TN to the late Ernest Lafayette Cook and Minnie Waddell Cook.  She was preceded in death by two husbands; Billy Joe Hollingshead and Ralph Frady; three brothers Winford, Norman, and Billy Cook, one sister, Dorothy Byars and two sons Bill and Ricky Hollingshead.  She is survived by her son James Hollingshead and his wife Karen, three grandchildren, Kristin Dillon, Ryan Hollingshead, Taylor Hollingshead and two great-grandchildren, Nolan and Sadie Hollingshead all of Denton, TX.  She also has one surviving nephew Kenneth Byars and one niece Edith Stephens.

Mary Jo was a member of New Vision Church in Brownsville.  Her funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 10 AM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Allen Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lake Forest Village or to the Good Samaritan Society address of both, 3901 Montecito, Denton, Texas 762
