Mary Louise Gray

Mary Louise Gray, age 80, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.   She was born on January 29, 1944, in Cleveland, OH. She worked as a seamstress at Kellwood Company. She was a dedicated member of the Upper Salem MB Church in Brownsville, TN. She loved her family, and she loved all animals. One of the greatest joys in her life was spoiling her grandchildren.  

She is survived by her son, Phillip Gray, Jr. of Brownsville, TN; two daughters, Paulette  Currie (Charles) of Jackson, TN and Samantha Gray of Brownsville, TN; four grandchildren, Charles (Ally), Corey, D.J., Xavier and three great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Gray, Sr.; two sons, Darian Gray and Michael Gray, and her parents.  

The family has chosen cremation and there are no services scheduled at the present time. The family has requested memorial be made to the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter, c/o Sherry Batchelor, P.O. Box 449, Brownsville, TN. 38012. All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
