Mary Ann Nash Williams

Mary Ann Nash Williams, age 98, passed away on March 30, 2024, at her home in Shreveport, LA. Mary Ann was born in Stanton, TN on November 3, 1925.  She attended Stanton Grammar School and Haywood High School.  She continued her education at Southwestern (Rhodes College) in Memphis, TN. She married Warren Shiloh Williams, also from Stanton, TN. 

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William Nash and Mary Nolen Williams; her husband, Warren Williams, to whom she was married for 58 years; one son, Dr. Richard Williams, and a brother, William Nash. 

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Mary Grant (Tommy) of Monroe, LA, Nancy Wilson (James) of Longview, TX, and John Williams (Roxanne) of Shreveport, LA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Nancy Nash Necaise of Stanton, TN. 

Graveside services will be held at the Stanton Cemetery in Stanton, TN, on May 18, 2024, with Rev. Ray Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow at the Stanton Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her parents, Dr. William Nash and Mary Nolen Williams and her husband, Warren Williams. All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
