Marvin Ray Collins

Marvin Ray Collins passed away on September 13, 2026, at his home in Alamo, Tennessee with his devoted wife by his side. He was 57. Born on June 22, 1969, in Humboldt, Tennessee to the late Margaret Collins and Cecil Adams. Marvin grew up in his younger years in Trenton and Humboldt, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Humboldt High School, class of 1987.

Marvin was a man who loved the Lord deeply, his faith became the center of his life. He enjoyed gathering with others, bringing the Word of the Lord, and sharing his faith. Marvin loved the simple things in life: God, family, and friends. He loved people, would help anyone in need, and was a hard worker. Marvin was affectionately known as the “CD Man” and “MC” by his friends. Towards the end of 2023, Marvin rededicated his life to the Lord with Pastor Ronny and First Lady Joyce Woods by his side with fellow members of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of Bells, Tennessee, he also joined the church as a member.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Morine Collins, who cared for him faithfully for the past three years. He also leaves behind his children, Cam Graves, Alice Shutes, Ashley Epperson, and Tonisha Collins. Marvin’s family circle also includes his stepchildren, David Stewart, Alisha Cook, and Brooklynn Cox-Thompson and her husband, Octavian. He is also survived by his sister, Cecilia Adams, his brother, Cory Adams, and by many dear friends whose lives were touched by his compassion, encouragement, and steadfast faith.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Adams; his mother, Margaret Collins; his brother, Gary Wayne Collins; and his sister, Cynthia Arnold.

Those who knew Marvin will remember a man who turned his life around to reflect his love and belief in Christ. He was generous, hardworking, and always willing to extend a hand to someone in need. His testimony, his love for the Lord, and his care for family and friends will remain a lasting blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
