Larry Allen Cook

Larry Allen Cook, age 74, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar, TN. Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Whiteville, TN with Bro. Eddie Martin and Bro. Terry Logan officiating.

Larry was born on October 13, 1949, in Somerville, TN to James Cook and Maggie Pittman Cook. He worked as a mechanic at Hyman’s Tire Company in Bolivar, TN. Larry was a wonderful, loving husband, son, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He gave his life to the Lord and was a member of Christ Church in Brownsville, TN. He was always helping people and delighted in giving to others. He was one who liked to wheel and deal. He was a people person and never met a stranger. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

Larry is survived by his dear wife, Rhonda with whom he was together for 23 years. three sons, Randall Potter (Stacey) of Brownsville, TN, Shane Sullivan (Starlett) of Whiteville, TN and Jeremy Avent (April) of Bolivar, TN; one daughter, Kristie Cook of Jackson, TN; one sister, Patricia Ann Holderfield (Larry) of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren, Abby, Matthew, Brantley, Emma, Brianna, Seth, Timothy, and Caleb; one great-grandchild, Ryder, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maggie Cook and one brother, Donald Cook. 

All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
