Kenneth L. McBride, age 60, a dedicated contractor known for his unwavering pride in workmanship, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, adventure, and a spirit that embraced the great outdoors. Born in Brownsville, TN on April 20, 1964, Kenneth was not only a master craftsman, but also one whose heart was deeply intertwined with his family.
A visitation to honor Kenneth L. McBride will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, where family and friends are invited to gather to share their memories, honoring a life that, while it has ended too soon, will forever reflect the love, warmth, and kindness of him.
Throughout his life, Kenneth demonstrated a profound commitment to those around him, always extending a helping hand to others. This generosity of spirit resonated strongly within his family, where he was cherished as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The smiles shared with his grandson, William Lloyd McBride, were among his most treasured memories, as were the countless adventures spent outdoors with his buddies. Whether it was the thrill of deer hunting, the excitement of duck hunting, or the serene moments spent fishing, each experience was a testament to his passion for life.
At home in Brownsville, Tennessee, Kenneth’s warm presence will be profoundly missed by those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lavell McBride, alongside their son, Matt McBride (Kayla), and their daughter, Kaitlyn McBride Starnes (Matt) and grandson, William Lloyd McBride. He is also survived by his brother, Jeff McBride, his sister, Tina Vickers (David), and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever hold onto the memories they shared.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Wright Mays, and father, William Murrell McBride, along with his sister-in-law, Sylvia McBride.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741. All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
