Kay Johnson Larose

Kay Johnson Larose, age 71, departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her home in Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Providence Cemetery in Madison County. 

Kay was born on November 20, 1952, to Tootsie and Nettie Smith Johnson in Bells, TN. She had a great love for books and reading. Her favorite past times included playing Gin Rummy with her son and Backgammon with her friends. Watching and listening to her grandson play the drums brought her great pleasure. She enjoyed trips to Biloxi and the Mississippi Coast. 

Kay is survived by her son Joseph Eddins, Jr. (Tonya); one brother, Terry Johnson; two sisters, Wanda McMahan and Thelma Plumlee; one grandson, Joseph Eddins, III; and one Goddaughter, Katie Loyd. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tootsie and Nettie Smith Johnson; one brother, Harold Johnson; and one sister, Sherry Marcom. 

The family has requested that memorials be made to the Room in The Inn, 409 Ayers St., Memphis, TN 38105 or Revelation Christian Center, 1561 Boxwood St., Memphis, TN 38108.
