Joyce Medlin Walker

Joyce Medlin Walker, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Memphis, TN, on Friday, August 14, 2026. A private family burial has held on Monday, August 17, 2026 in the Forest Cemetery in Brownsville, TN.

Joyce was born on April 3, 1957 in Haywood County to Clyde Medlin, Jr. and Eara May Stanley Medlin. During her professional life, Joyce was a respiratory therapist, helping others brought her great joy. When she wasn’t working, you could find her reading a good book. Her love for daisies reflected her enjoyment of simple things.

She is survived by her son: Zachary Wallace of Charlotte, NC; daughter: Lyndsey Wallace of Covington, TN; sisters: Sandra Singleton (Jim) of Hornbeak, TN and Ann Bradford of Brownsville, TN; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Walker; parents: Clyde Medlin, Jr. and Eara May Stanley Medlin; and daughter: Meghan Wallace.
