Johnny Glynn Porch

Mr. Johnny Glynn Porch, age 69, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Mr. Porch was a lifelong farmer and fighter for farmer’s rights, avid horse enthusiast and member of the Woodland Baptist Church.  He had many achievements:  father of three boys and being President of American Agriculture Movement from 1992-1994.  Mr. Porch would help any and everybody he could.  He enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and riding and taking care of his horses.

A visitation will be conducted Thursday, January 4, 2018, 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Chapel of Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date.

He is survived by his wife: Joyce Moore Porch of Brownsville, TN; three sons: Grant Porch (Crystal), Denmark, TN, Matt Porch (Brandie), Mercer, TN, Wes Porch (Christin), Bells, TN; two brothers: Butch Porch (Faye), Bert Porch (Katrina), both of Brownsville, TN; and five grandchildren: Jordan Grace Porch, Jacob Gavin Porch, Joseph Walker Porch, Sadie Rae Porch and Hayden Mackenzie Porch. Mr. Porch was preceded in death by his parents: C.A. Porch, Jr. and Lois Hill Porch and a sister: Mary Ann Mathias Chapman-Nolen.
