Johnny Lee Bruce

Johnny Lee Bruce, age 72, passed away on March 5, 2026, at the Palmer House in Salt Lake City, UT. Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the Brownsville Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, TN at 11:00 AM.

He is survived by his sister, Emily Jean Pilant Halsey, niece, Nina Taylor (Mike), niece, Laura Kellum (Roy), nephew, Stan Pilant (Dee), sister-in-law, Beverly Strickland and several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jettie Bruce, grandparents Leroy and Nettie Bruce, and his brother Michael L. Strickland.

The family requests memorials be made to the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter, c/o Sherry Batchelor, P.O. Box 449, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
