Joann Qualls McBroom, age 74, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at 3:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel in Brownsville, TN with Bro. Lonnie Robinson, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery. A Visitation for Mrs. McBroom will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, 2020, at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home Chapel. Joann McBroom was born on March 23, 1945, in Brownsville, TN. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in the Tibbs Community. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bennie McBroom. She is also survived by her sisters, Aileen Burns of Brownsville, TN, Emilee Church of Jackson, TN, Carolyn Essary (Bennie) of Brownville, TN, Linda Tillman of Bells, TN, and Brenda Stanley (Sammy) of Brownsville, TN. She had a deep love for her family, including several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Allen Qualls and Leatha Lorene Massey Qualls, one brother, Ricky Qualls, and three sisters, Pauline Simpson, Janie Bernice Perry and Ruby Jean Latham. Pallbearers for the service will be Jacob Stout, Justin Stout, Keith Simpson, David Perry, Wade Stanley, and Thomas Latham. Honorary Pallbearers are Jeff Simpson, David Qualls and Phillip Gibbs.
