Jim Smith, Jr.

Jim Smith, age 73, passed away January 15, 2020, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. His Memorial Service will be conducted Monday, January 20, 2020, at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Brownsville, TN with Rev. Sammy Tillman, Dr. Roger Penn, and Dr. Robert Rooks officiating. A visitation with be held Monday, January 20, 2020, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church. Jim was an avid golfer, he loved to play bridge and enjoyed reading books. He worked as a car salesman in Brownsville all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Susan Pope Smith, Brownsville, TN, one daughter, Shannon P. Shivers, (Danny) Collierville, TN, and one sister, Barbee Currey-Smith, (Duncan) Nashville, TN. He leaves a legacy of two grandchildren, Patrick Shivers and Graycen Shivers. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward Smith Sr. and Dorothy Kinney Smith. Memorials are requested to the First United Methodist Church, 117 East Franklin, Brownsville, TN 38012.
