Jane Mullen Stanley

Jane Mullen Stanley, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 31, 2025, in Dyersburg, TN, at the age of 68. Jane was born on November 12, 1956, in Brownsville, TN. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jane's life and legacy during a visitation at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN, on November 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM.

Throughout her career, Jane dedicated herself to serving others, holding positions as a teller at the local bank, The Eye Clinic, and Sam's. Her warm disposition and caring nature left a lasting impression on those she worked alongside and had the honor of serving.

Jane had a profound love for the simpler joys in life; she found beauty in flowers, cherished the company of her cats, and embraced the adventures of travel alongside her dear friends. A particular joy for Jane came from spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness and pride. Their laughter and energy filled her heart, and she treasured every moment she could spend with them.

She is survived by her son, Jason Stanley (Michelle) of Dyersburg, TN; her daughter, Stephanie Stanley Van (Bryant) of Bradford, TN; her brother, Jesse Mullen (Shirlene) of Brownsville, TN; and her sisters, Ann Haynes (Johnny) of Brownsville, TN, and Mary Mullen Prince of Bartlett, TN. Jane also leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Jake Stanley, Brock Stanley, Kathryn Van, and Emily Van, as well as her very special friend, Margaret Allen, and a host of nieces and nephews.  Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Trail and Martha Blackwell Mullen.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Union Grove Methodist Church, c/o Tara Joyner, P.O. Box 1553, Brownsville, TN  38012 or to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 191 Waukegan Rd., Ste. 105, Northfield, IL 60093.  All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
