Jack Adolphus McAdoo

Mr. Jack Adolphus McAdoo, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Alamo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Bells Funeral Home, with Pastor J.P. Vick officiating. Burial to follow in the Marlow Cemetery of Gadsden, TN. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Bells Funeral Home from 12:00 P.M. until the service hour at 1:00 P.M.

Mr. Jack was born in Memphis, TN to the late Hugh McAdoo and Zera Williams McAdoo. He was a member of Northside Assembly of God in Jackson, TN and was the Store Manager of Helig Meyers Furniture for over 15 years, before his retirement. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather: Dick Miller; his daughter: Carol McAdoo LeBlanc.

He is survived by his wife of over 73 years: Shirley Worrell McAdoo of Gadsden, TN; two sons: Jack McAdoo Jr. (Suzanne) of Eads, TN, Steven McAdoo (Andrea) of Golden, CO; one daughter: Debra McAdoo of Memphis, TN; He leaves a legacy of four grandchildren: Laura McAdoo, Kate McAdoo Stokes, Aidan McAdoo, Declan McAdoo; and three great-grandchildren: Adley Stokes, Harper Stokes and Lily Kate Stokes.
