Henry Charles Martin, a beloved husband, father, and community member, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Jackson, TN, at the age of 79. He was born on October 12, 1946, in Detroit, MI, and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, where he graduated from high school before embarking on a life dedicated to the service and joy of others.

In his early career, Henry worked as an EMT in Florida, where he developed a deep compassion for those in need, a quality that would define much of his life. Following his career in emergency services, he and his wife, Carolyn, moved to Tennessee, where they fulfilled their dream of owning and operating "Knee-High Farms" in Lexington. Their farm was a bustling haven filled with animals of all kinds, including pygmy goats, geese, chickens, cows, and horses. At one point, they were proud caretakers of over 250 rabbits, creating a unique and lively environment that reflected their love for animals and commitment to nurturing life.

Henry's community spirit shone brightly through his active involvement in the Lion's Club of Lexington, TN, where his dedication to service left a lasting mark on many in the area. He and Carolyn were cherished members of the First Baptist Church of Lexington, volunteering countless hours and making special occasions, especially Mother's Day, memorable for the children of the congregation. The church's children adored Mr. Henry, who had a knack for connecting with them and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment. His generosity extended beyond the First Baptist Church, as he also volunteered at The Well Church in Lexington, helping those in need and uplifting his community.

Henry will be deeply missed by his loving family, including his devoted sons: Heath F. Martin of Lexington, TN, Brian Martin of Florida, and Robert Martin. He is also remembered fondly by his niece, Colleen Hardee of Henderson, TN, who held a special place in his heart. Henry leaves behind his loyal puppy dogs, Rambo and Lucy, and his kitty cat, Pumpkin, who provided him with companionship and joy throughout the years.

He joins in eternal rest his beloved wife, Carolyn Hamilton Martin, who shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with him, and his parents, Joseph Carl Martin and May Higgins Martin. Together, they live on in the memories of those who knew and loved them.

Henry Charles Martin's life was a beautiful testament to his enduring spirit and the love he shared with his family and community. He was a man of great kindness, whose legacy of service, love for animals, and generosity will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
