Harriet Florence Nanney

Harriet Florence Edwards Nanney age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of the First Assembly of God in Brownsville. Burial to follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. A visitation for the Nanney family will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the First Assembly of God in Brownsville from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 2:00 PM She was born on February 14, 1930 in Bells, TN to the late Cayce and Mary D. Pigue Edwards. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mr. Donald Wright Nanney; one son, Robert Dee Nanney; one daughter, Brenda Nanney Fergie; four brothers: James, Paul, John Adams and Billy Joe Edwards; one sister: Marjorie Williams; and two grandsons: Joseph Stephenson and Josh Nanney. She is survived by two sons: Cayce Nanney (Kim) of Bells, TN and Donald Nanney (Joyce) of Bells, TN; one sister: Janice Gaines (Robert Earl) of Bells, TN; Six grandchildren; and leaves a legacy of six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her good friend, Mrs. Helen Turner and the members of the First Assembly of God of Brownsville. In lieu of flowers, the Nanney family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, The American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
