Emma Faye Fitch, a beloved matriarch and nurturing spirit, left this world on October 15, 2025, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 82. Born on May 8, 1943, in Bells, Tennessee, Emma was a vibrant light whose laughter could fill a room and whose love for life was infectious. She was a daughter of Oliver and Emma Hortense Williams Tritt, who laid the foundation for her feisty personality and indomitable spirit.

Emma was a proud high school student of Bells High School, where she likely first showcased her fierce energy and an awesome sense of humor. She dedicated her life to caring for children, particularly cherishing the time spent nurturing babies. Her love extended beyond family, embracing the community with open arms, and her lifelong membership at the Crossroads Baptist Church of Bells was a testament to her unwavering faith and kindness.

Her home was a hub of warmth where dinner was always served by 5 PM, a ritual she upheld with joy. Beyond her culinary talents, Emma was known for her playful nature—dancing with abandon and enjoying the thrill of the penny slots. Each spin of the reels echoed her zest for the small pleasures in life.

Emma's love for butterflies paralleled the love she held for her late husband, Raymond Langford Fitch, with whom she shared 55 beautiful years of marriage. The delicate creatures served as a symbol of their bond, fluttering memories of shared moments filling her heart.

Emma leaves behind a loving family: her daughter Sheila Fitch Mills, married to Stephen; her son Jeff Fitch, married to Stacie; and another son, Randy Fitch. Emma's legacy continues to flourish through her brother Larry Tritt, and sisters Deborah Murphy and Betty Ann Spain. She also inspired five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, showering them with love and laughter. In her youth, she forged a special connection with her best friend, Judy Owens, who stood steadfastly by her side, sharing countless memories.

As we gather to honor Emma's extraordinary life, visitation will be held on October 18, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Bells Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. Friends and family will hold her memory close, celebrating the woman who danced through life with grace, whose laughter remains in our hearts, and whose spirit continues to inspire love and care in everyone she touched. Emma's legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and family—a testament to a life well lived and loved.
