Elizabeth Marie Maharrey

Elizabeth Marie Maharrey, age 93, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Bells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.   All services are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home.

Mrs. Libby was born in Enid, MS on July 31, 1930.   She was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Brownsville, TN.  Mrs. Libby loved her family and enjoyed fishing on the banks.  She worked for many years in the meat department for Mr. Kolwick.  She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years:  Verle Ray Douglas; and her mother:  Dolores Sloan.

She is survived by one son:  Kent Douglas of Bells, TN; and one daughter:  Linda Warrick of Murfressboro, TN.  She leaves the legacy of 6 grandchildren: Dawn Hayes, Julie Henry, Tish Echeverria, Hannah Schulz, Beth Warrick, and Spencer Douglas; thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family is honoring her wishes for cremation and further information will be announced as it becomes available by the Bells Funeral Home.
