A dedicated homemaker, Edna was the very center of her family’s world—a loving mother and devoted wife who nurtured all around her with grace and patience. Her creative spirit shone through as a talented seamstress, crafting not only beautiful garments but lasting memories for those lucky enough to benefit from her skill and attention. Many in the community also remember Edna from her days at the Dairy Queen.
Edna found pleasure in quiet, joyful pursuits. She enjoyed making beaded jewelry and watching game shows to pass the time. The simple beauty of migrating hummingbirds never failed to captivate her spirit and bring her peace.
Above all, Edna’s life was defined by her steadfast Christian faith. Despite facing significant health challenges, she remained strong and hopeful, never allowing adversity to diminish her gratitude or her gentle, positive outlook. Family was her greatest treasure, and time spent in their company brought her comfort, pride, and abiding happiness. Her resilience, optimism, and lack of complaint through hardship left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Turner (Philip) of Mercer, TN; Donna Winchester (Dwight) of Brownsville, TN and Carolyn Barrett (Tunney) of Kenner, LA; son: Michael Earl Morris of Brownsville, TN; three grandchildren: Kristy Fuqua of Jackson, TN, Brian Winchester (Erika) of Alamo, TN, and Tyler Winchester (Scarlett) of Brownsville, TN; and five great-grandchildren: Riley, Karlyn, Blaine, Kenton, and Harper, each of whom brought her immense happiness and pride. She was preceded in death by her husband: Danny Earl Morris; parents: Albert E. Staggs and Mary Crutchfield Campbell; two brothers: John Edd Campbell and Calvin Wayne Campbell; and her sister, Louise Drake.
