Dessie May Haywood

Mrs. Dessie May Leek Haywood, age 69, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at her home in Brownsville, TN.  Visitation for Mrs. Haywood will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 11 AM at the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be conducted Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 10 AM -11 AM in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home. She worked as a store clerk. Her family was very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Arthur and Louise Leek Adcock. She is survived by her husband, Robert Haywood, Stanton, TN, sons: Walter L. Robinson (Tashina May) Mountain Home, ID, Keith Haywood (Tracey) Brownsville, TN, daughters: Samantha Eubanks, Smithville, MS, Sherry Tritt (Stewart), Brownsville, TN, a brother, Roy Leek, Inglis, FL, 19 wonderful grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Haywood, three sisters, Pansy Burse, Frances Maddox, Dorothy Mize, two brothers, Robert Leek and Otis B. Leek. Memorials are requested to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
