“Mr. Dennis” was a beloved member of his community, mentoring youth in many capacities throughout the years, most notably as a softball coach, basketball coach, bus driver and Sunday School / Awana leader. Fun-loving by nature, he was always creating opportunities for a good time. His favorite pastime by far was spending time with his grandchildren, whether it be exploring new places together or swimming and making s’mores in his own backyard. He will be remembered for his love of music, his family (especially his grandchildren) and his Kentucky Wildcats.
Dennis began working for Kroger as a teenager in 1978. Over his 45-year career, he worked all over the Delta region, amassing a very large work family. He cherished those work relationships turned lifelong friendships.

Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Tammy, on September 4, 1981. They moved to Brownsville in 1985 where they raised their two daughters, Lauren and Lyndsay, and have remained to this day.
