Darlene Mae Reeder, age 83, a resident of Sugar Creek Senior Living in Brownsville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The family has honored her wishes for cremation.
Darlene Reeder was born on May 6, 1940, to George and Lillian Wolford in Derry Township, PA. She was a graduate of Elkhorn High School in Elkhorn, Nebraska where she met Harold Reeder, they married September 1, 1958. In 1964, they moved to California where they lived until 1993, when they moved to Brownsville, TN. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Lillian Wolford, her husband, Harold Reeder and one son, Daniel Reeder.
She is survived by one son Bill Reeder (Karen) of Stanton, TN; three brothers, George Wolford, Jr. (Rose) of Omaha, NE, Ron Wolford (Angie) of Brownsville, TN, and Fred Wolford (Nina) of Omaha, NE. She leaves a legacy of love for her six grandchildren, RaeAnn Warner (Randy) of Marble Hill, MO, Chris Reeder (Cassie) of Friendship, TN, Justin Reeder (Katherine) of Savannah, TN, Kasie Young (Travis) of Stanton, TN, Josh Reeder (Dani) of Bolivar, TN and Brandi Carter of Keeling, TN; 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two BFF’s (Best Friends Forever), Minnie Wilson and Norma Henderson, both of Brownsville, TN and her fur baby, Delilah, now of Magee, MS.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
