Dan Jackson

Daniel Jerome Jackson, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on June 21, 2026, at age of 78.

Born on October 12, 1947 in Princeton, Kentucky, Dan dedicated his life to his family and friends. Following service in the United States Navy, Dan graduated from Western Kentucky University and enjoyed a long career in accounting and finance. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, collecting classic cars, golf, and hunting.

Dan is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy (Sills) Jackson; his children, Ashley Garner and Laura (Clayton) Sanderson; grandchildren Clayton David, Sadie, Jack, and Ethan; and nephew, John Sills. He was preceded in death by his father, A.B. Jackson, his mother, LaVerne (Billy) Sinek and son, Brandon.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation on June 23rd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Brownsville Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.

An additional visitation will be held the following day, June 24th at Brownsville Baptist Church, from 11:00am to 12:00pm with memorial service beginning at 12:00pm.

Following the service, friends and family are welcome to join the family for a graveside service and burial at Allen Baptist Church Cemetery in Brownsville, TN

The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Jason Goolsby and Dr. Loren Carroll and staff at Gentiva Hospice, and Bells Nursing Home for the excellent care they have provided Dan in his final days.
