Christy Michelle Hunt

Christy Michelle Hunt, of Tennessee, passed away on October 27, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 50. She was born on October 30, 1975, in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Christy was a 1993 graduate of Crockett County High School. Over the years, she built a life marked by hard work and dedication, working as a waitress for Olive Garden for many years and also managing several gas stations and grocery stores. She brought that same energy and commitment into the many roles she held throughout her life.

More than anything, Christy loved her family very much, and her daughters were her proudest accomplishments. She was a talented and crafty person who enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts, and she found happiness in reading and going to the library. She loved butterflies and flowers, and she enjoyed listening to music, especially country music. Christy also loved fishing off the bank and was always ready for an adventure. One of her most recent and cherished adventures was a trip to the beach this summer with her family.

She leaves behind a family who will treasure her memory with love: her daughters, Jessica Daniel and Emily Daniel; her mother, Ima Augusta Hunt Johnson, and Ima’s husband, Sammy Johnson; and her grandson, Levi Daniel. In the hearts of those who knew and loved her, Christy will be remembered for her love of family, her creativity, her adventurous spirit, and the warmth she brought to everyday life.

A memorial service to honor Christy’s life will be held on November 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bells Funeral Home, 5342 College Street, Bells, Tennessee 38006. Bro. Stephen Sutton will provide special words at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Nance Church Cemetery.

Christy’s memory will live on in the lives she touched and in the love she gave so freely.
