Mrs. Carolyn Penn Peaton Crockett, age 89 passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 in the Crestview Healthcare and Rehab in Brownsville, TN. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duncan Penn and Louise Baumgardner Penn, her first husband, William Louis Peaton, her second husband, Charles Gower Crockett, her sister, Vivian Penn Matthews and her son-in-law, Bob Menendez. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Peaton Menendez, Brownsville, TN, a granddaughter, Tracy Houston (Chris), Memphis, TN and cousins, Norman (Cissy) Matthews, Randy (Lynda) Matthews, Richard (Ann) Ince and Judy Peaton Livingston.
