Calvin Coolidge Gray, age 65, a cherished Pastor and devoted family man, was born on June 14, 1960, in Haywood County. He departed this life on July 20, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Calvin's journey was marked by his unwavering faith and commitment to serving the Lord, a testament to his role as a Pastor who deeply loved his congregation and community.
Calvin was known for his strong devotion not only to his spiritual calling but also to his family, which he held dear. He is survived by his brothers: Pastor James Gray and his wife Nancy, Elder Timothy Gray and his wife Gloria, Elder Danny Gray and his wife Yolanda, Michael Gray and his wife Vanessa, Pastor Ernest Gray and his wife Dorothy, and Elder Steve Gray and his wife Kristie. His beloved sister, Bishop Mary Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews also cherish his memory and the lasting impact he made in their lives.
Calvin is preceded in death by his loving parents, D.H. and Mary Neal Pruitt Gray, as well as his brother Willie Gray and sister Vernadine Gray, with whom he now rests.
In honor of Calvin’s life and legacy, services will be held at St. James Church of God in Christ, located at 1828 Qualls Rd, Stanton, TN 38069. Visitation will be held on, Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at the St. James Church of God in Christ Cemetery.
Calvin Coolidge Gray’s memory will remain a cherished treasure in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him, as he leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, family, and love. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
