Bro. Allen Shelton Collins

Bro. Allen Shelton Collins, a retired Baptist Preacher passed away peacefully at his home in Martin, TN, on June 19, 2025. He was 76 years old. Born on November 7, 1948, in Lake County, TN. 

He is survived by his wife, Janie. He is lovingly remembered by his son, James Collins (Sue) of Union City as well as his daughter, Tina Wright (Timmy) of Troy. He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, Justin Wright (Kayla) of Troy, Jessica Harris (Will) of Rives, Tyler Collins of South Fulton, Seth Collins of Union City, Brenton Collins of Union City, and Caleb Collins (Tatiana) of Union City and three great-grandchildren, Hattelyn and Hazelyn Wright of Troy and Madelyn Collins of Union City. Allen is also survived by his brother, Warren Collins (Teresa) of Rives. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Nixon Collins and Grace Marie Shelby Collins, and his brothers: James Aaron, Hoover, Billy, Clinton, and Jerry Collins, along with his sister, Sara Lewis. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 200 Shadtown Road, Martin, TN 38237
