Bonnie Sue Morris

Bonnie Morris, age 93, departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Bolivar Health and Rehabilitation in Bolivar, TN.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the Harmony Baptist Church with Bro. Adrian Knipper, Bro. Butch Westover and Bro. Tim Cook officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church.

A native of the Hillville Community, she lived most of her life in Haywood County.  She was the daughter of Charlie Edmonds and Grace Hodge Edmonds.  Bonnie was a lifelong member of Harmony Baptist Church.

On October 8, 1951, she married Charles Coffman Morris and their union endured until his passing on September 17, 2010, following 59 years of marriage.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, LaJuan Sills; three sisters, Padie Stuart, Sadie Mayfield and Geraldine Lawrence; and two brothers, Curtis Edmonds and Billy Edmonds.  

Bonnie is survived by her son, Terry Morris (Patricia), of Whiteville, TN; three grandchildren, Brook Black, Emily Fuller, and Haleigh Sills and four great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory, three sisters, Peggy Sargent, Charlene Horton and Karen Austin.

Bonnie will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.  The family requests that memorials be made to Gideon's International, P.O. Box 182, Bolivar, TN 38008.  All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
