Betty Ann Smith Peyton

Betty Ann Smith Peyton, age 82, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at “The Orchard” in Ridgeland, MS.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Home.  Mrs. Peyton was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie V. Peyton; and two daughters:  Carol Peyton Minshew and Karen Peyton; her parents:  William Robert Smith and Annie Pearl Vriley Smith.  She is survived by her son: Scott Peyton (Donna), Madison, MS, one son-in-law:  Dr. Don Minshew, Plantation, FL; four sisters:  Ola Ruth Leech, Millington, TN, Georgia Mae Davis, Southaven, MS, Bobbie Jeanne Hopper, Hernando, MS and Connie Gray, Hendersonville, TN; and two grandchildren:  Dennis Minshew, Fort Pierce, FL and John Peyton, Ridgeland, MS.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Trinity Cemetery c/o Mary Jane Baggett, 74 Tibbs-Forked Deer Rd., Brownsville, TN  38012 or Alzheimer’s Association, 713 South Mendenhall Rd., Memphis, TN  38117.
