April Michelle Trosper Sims

April Michelle Trosper Sims, age 42, born on May 3, 1983, in Dyersburg, TN, left this world on May 25, 2025, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. She was a devoted caregiver, known for her unwavering dedication to those she cared for, and her spirit touched the lives of many.

After high school April attended Dyersburg State Community College for two years. April displayed a commitment to personal growth and a passion for helping others which defined her career. Her hard work went hand in hand with a vibrant personality that shone through her love for singing karaoke, a cherished pastime that reflected her joyful nature.  One of her favorite things to do was ride country backroads and listen to music.

April cherished the moments spent with her family, always placing them at the forefront of her life. She leaves behind her three children, Hunter Pollock, Alexia Jean Pollock, and Madelynn Sims. The joy of her life continued with her two grandchildren, Lucas Pollock and Eiden Pollock, who were a source of immense pride and happiness for her. April is also survived by her brother, Mickey Trosper, II.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mickey Trosper and Carolyn Goodman Phillips, and her sister, Catherine Hathcock.

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  The family has honored her wishes for cremation and no services are scheduled at this time but will be announced as they become available by the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
