Born on December 11, 1944, as Alma Joan Rice, she was a devoted healthcare provider in restorative care, where her passion for helping others shone through in every aspect of her work. There are no services scheduled at this time but will be announced as they become available by the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Alma's life was marked by her deep devotion to her family and friends. She was truly a people person, cherishing every moment spent with loved ones and always welcoming neighbors with open arms. Her warm and caring personality endeared her to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

An excellent cook, Alma was known for her culinary talents, often gathering family and friends around her table to enjoy delicious meals. She took great joy in yard work and gardening, finding peace and fulfillment in nurturing the plants that blossomed under her care. Alma also had a knack for spotting treasures at yard sales, which became a cherished pastime.

Alma is survived by her son, Eric Uselton (Jill) of Alamo, TN; her daughters, Anita Mayfield and Tina Johnson, both of Alamo, TN; her sister, Barbara Musgrave (Jimmy), and sister-in-law, Gail Rice. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Haynes; her parents, Charles and Dorothy Self Rice; and her brothers, Jerry Rice and Larry Rice.

She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support for her family, which will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. The family requests that memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.  All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
