Allen Marshall Willyerd, age 80, born on January 16, 1946, in Hornersville, MO, passed away peacefully at his home on June 13, 2026. He was a man who carried with him a rich life marked by dedication, love, and the pursuit of his passions.
Allen proudly served in the U.S. Marines, a commitment that spoke to his sense of duty and honor. After his military service, he became the owner of Forrest City Flying Service and was known as a skilled crop duster pilot. His career was one of hard work and expertise.
Beyond his professional life, Allen found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper, often enjoying outdoor cooking, riding his Harley, and spending quality time with his family. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were a testament to his adventurous spirit, love for nature and the love he had for his family.
Family was the heart of Allen's life. He cherished the time spent with his wife of 35 years, Mary Jones Willyerd of Tiptonville, TN. His son, William "Bubba" Richardson, Jr. of Tiptonville, TN, and daughters Felicia Klutts of Ripley, TN, and Carol Simmons (Franklin) of Tiptonville, TN. Allen was affectionately called "Papa", this name always brought a smile to his face and made him the happiest, by his grandchildren, Drew Richardson, Lee Richardson, Dave Eddlemon, William Tyler Simmons (Carleigh), Dylan Klutts (Bre), Tyler Klutts (Madalyn), and his great-grandchildren, Presley Eddlemon, Amaria Klutts, Riley Klutts and Addy Jane Klutts. Allen is remembered by his Marine Corps brothers, who shared a special bond with him, as well as his childhood friends, Taylor Chapman and Al Claiborne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Celestia Allen Willyerd, and his sons Rusty Willyerd and Cary Lee Richardson.
Allen Marshall Willyerd’s life was filled with meaningful achievements and deep connections. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and remembered for the warmth, strength, and love he shared throughout his life. There are no services scheduled at this time but will be announced as they become available. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1640, Hagerstown, MD 21741. All arrangements are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
