Aileen Qualls Burns, age 88, a resident of Brownsville, TN, departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Moore and Bro. Lonnie Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Trinity Cemetery in the Nutbush Community. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the Brownsville Funeral Home. 

Aileen was born on October 22, 1935, to Jasper Allen Qualls and Lorene Massey Qualls in Brownsville, TN. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed growing flowers and working in her garden. She loved spending time working on the farm and being outdoors. She loved the Lord and was very knowledgeable about the Bible. She enjoyed reading, playing Rook, playing gospel music, and watching John Wayne movies. 

She is survived by three daughters, Helen Joy Stanley (Larry), Cheryl Curtis, and Carol Diane Ballinger (Clarence); three sons, Nelson Perkinson (Jill); Gary Odell Curtis, and Jerry Allen Curtis; two stepsons, James Burns and Michael Burns; four sisters, Emilee Church, Carolyn Tillman Essary (Bennie), Brenda Stanley (Sammy) and Linda Tillman. She leaves a legacy of love for her 17 grandchildren, Tracy Riddle (Tommy), Connie Perry (Craig), Kevin Stanley, Brian Ballinger (Jennifer), Matthew Ballinger (Linda), Karen Miller (Chris), Sarah Hatch (Riley), Daniel Ballinger (Skylar), Amanda Arevalos (Juan), Shawn Griffin (Shelly), Curtis Powell, Lora White, Amy Hale (Tommy), Luke Perkinson, Kristin Driscoll, Andy Burns, and Cody Burns, 35 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Burns; parents, Jasper Allen Qualls and Lorene Massey Qualls; brother, Ricky Qualls; sisters, Janie Bernice Perry, Pauline Simpson, Ruby Jean Latham, Joann McBroom, and one grandchild, Zachary Burns. 

Pallbearers for the service will be Ethan Riddle, Kevin Stanley, Shawn Griffin, Matt Ballinger, Luke Perkinson, and Daniel Ballinger. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Trinity Cemetery Fund, c/o Janet Willis, 437 Preston Drive, Brownsville, TN 38012. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Brownsville Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
